Someone help me out please?

Safari started to crash whenever I submit a form in any web page (even a google search!)

I've tried deleting the Safari .plist files and even repairing permissions and all that, but Safari still crashes when I submit forms!

I'm using Firefox at the moment to post this message.

Anyone has any ideas?

Me too, but only on my iBook G4, not the Intel iMac. Very random, but irritating. Thought it had somethiong to do with SafariExtender update, but trashed it and the problem persists.

Did you do the Safari --> Empty Cache ? And if that doesn't work, Safari --> Reset Safari ?

I reset Safari and emptied the cache and all the other maintenance procedures. Crashed twice in the last ten minutes. Here is the crash log, which I sent to Apple. Thanks for any help. I have to send two replies because the message is too long.

safari crashes on me regularly too, and only recently.

still...pithhelmet is essential to me, so...

i uninstalled pithhelmet, and gonna run safari without it for several days, see how stability is.

i have been using PH for a long time; am horrified to see what the web REALLY looks like..!

I find Safari 100% rock solid so long as im not running pithhelmet. As much as I like what pithhelmet does, it just causes way to many annoying crashes. I had several crashes a day and I could not put up with it.

Shame, as the only site I really need it for is THIS ONE! The forking adds are a huge system resource hog as well as being highly irritating
Made worse by Macnn staff showing little to no enthusiasm in rectifying the problem.

Hi. This has gotten a lot worse than occasional. Haven't trashed the items you pointed out yet because I don't know if I can live without PH either. Question...do I trash everything in the string after the main folder, or just the last item? i.e. SIMBL, SIMBL, and DuctTape.Framework or SIMBL, PithHelmet and DuctTape.

I trashed the files indicated and haven't had a crash for awhile now. Thanks for the help, although I hate the animated flashy ads that are ever present. I hope they find a fix for PH or Safari soon. I miss it already.

i just reinstalled it, and, a short time later...safari crashed (first time since uninstalling PH).

still...may leave it on for now.
internet is so much calmer with it running...

Still crashes regularly for me and I don't run any 3rd party software with it so Ive moved on to Omniweb, Firefox, and Camino, none of which look as good as Safari, to me.

Maybe you take a close look at the crashlog. There might be something in it you not know about or that you have forgotten that you installed it.
