Hello everyone... I hoping you all can help me out with a little lissue I'm having.
I've got a ZIP file that is just under 2GB that I need to unarchive, but when I try to do this with the built in expander to get about 90% finished and then give me this error...
Unable to unarchive - Error 22 - invalid argument
Oh, and I've verified that this ZIP file is fine and not corrupt.
Does anyone have any suggestion why this could be happening?
Thanks

You can try StuffIt Expander.

Thanks... I'll try that when I get home from work.
I'm curious, is the Error 22 a system error or some type of software error?

Error codes are a lot of fun:
This is from System 9, Error 22 = package 5 not present [Transcendental Functions]
Helpful, no?!?!
Stupid question first, do you have enough free disk space to let Expander work its magic?

Error codes are like a gift that keeps give...
And yes, I do have enough free space. I'm just hoping that the StuffIt program will solve my issue, because I foresee this happening in the future.

You can also try the command-line unzip: Just open a Terminal, type "unzip " (with a space after it), then drag-and-drop the file onto the Terminal and press return.

I forget what number it gives when a zip is password protected, but there's always a chance its that.

Well I've tried everything that was suggested and still nothing works. StuffIt Expander give me an error instantly and the same with using Terminal. So it looks like I'm going to have it the hard way and unzip it on my PC and then transfer it over to my Mac.
Thanks for everyones help though...

Are you sure the zip file isn't corrupted in some fashion?

See that's the weird thing... I can unzip the file perfectly fine on my PC but my Mac just won't do it. The only thing that I can think of is the program used to create the zip file has its own type of flavor that favors PC's.
