I've given up on iMovie 6...audio sync issues with HDV..have tried everything. So I want to use 5 instead.
I have a G5 with iMovie 6, I dragged a copy of iMovie 5 from my 2nd G5 to my main production machine. Worked great, perfect sync, except the Share menu, where I export to iPod, does not work. I choose Share and nothing happens.
So I thought I may need to buy iLife 05 on Ebay and install iMovie 5. But will this work? Are the iLife discs upgrades? Or the full version? And when I do a proper install of it...I wonder if the Share menu will work.
What I am doing now..is I capture and edit in iMovie 5...save and exit..load up iMovie 6..which loads the last iMovie project..saved in 5..and then I export out of 6 using the share menu. Kind of some extra steps but works for now.
Any suggestions on how to install imovie 5? I have from the other machine the slightly older OSX discs with ilife05..can ilife be installed seperate?
Thanks..basically just want to get imovie 5 properly running on my machine.
