I am running Firefox on a MacBook Pro. In 1.5, you could hold the trackpad button down on a link for a few seconds and a contextual menu would open up. In 2.0, it seems this does not happen. I can only get a contextual menu to open by control-clicking. Is there anyway to have 2.0 behave as 1.5?

Control-Click gives you the context menu in 1.5-try that. I carry around a three-button scroll mouse so I can get things like this with the right mouse button too.

Yes, I realize that. The point is that I would prefer not to have to control-click. In 1.5, I am able to avoid doing so by holding the click for a second and a contextual menu automatically appears. That does not happen by default in 2.0, and I am wondering if it is possible to configure it to do so.

Since you have a MacBook Pro why don't you simply use the two-fingers-on-trackpad-click?

I am not sure I noticed that in Systems Preferences before you suggested it. It will take a little bit to get in the habit of doing that, but I think that will suit my needs. Thanks.

Or, go to about:config and search for "context". There's a value called "ui.click_hold_context_menus" which is set to false by default. Double-click on it to set it to true, thereby re-enabling the old click-and-hold thingy.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

You could also enable placing two fingers on the trackpad, then clicking the button for a right click.
System Preferences - Keyboard & Mouse - Trackpad - Trackpad Gestures
