Where could I find a font editor for Mac Intel? I wish to add a few extra customized characters to a font. Apple Font Studio, Linotype Font Explorer, did not help, FontForge, Potrace do not install, and Font Lab Studio is too expensive. Failing that, is there any way to import a Windows TrueType font into a Macintosh and use it under Mac OS?

Don't know about your first question, but in regard to the second one, yes, you can use Windows TrueType fonts on OS X.

I had luck installing fontforge via the i-installer for mac TeX stuff on a MacBook.

How do you use the fonts? Just copy them over and put them in the Library?
