My iTunes won't import video. When I drop video files onto it, nothing happens. The green copy symbol doesn't appear either.
Btw, the videos i was trying to import were .avi format... does that matter? If so, are there any recommended apps for converting formats?
My iTunes and Quicktime are both up to date.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

The video files have to be in .mpeg, .mov, or .m4v format to be imported.
You can make "reference movies" in Quicktime Pro and import them. Then when you click on them, they will open the original .avi files.
That's one of the things about iTunes that annoys me. I wish it was video plug-in expandable, like the Quicktime Player.

They're going to have to do something if they want iTV to be popular beyond a novelty item.

Just use Handbrake to convert and you are all set.

Tried Handbrake, and it appears to only work with DVDs and DVD images.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for an app that can convert video formats? Preferibly free too! Looked on VersionTracker but only found one related program Forty-Two, but its shareware only lasts for 10 mins of video. Other than that found almost nothing. Any ideas?
A graphic converter style program for video would be great. Then again, multi format enabled itunes would be even better!
