I recently upgraded from OS 10.4 to 10.4.8. I have Graphic Converter 4.4.3.
When I save an image now, the image isn't shown on the icon. It used to show the image without having to select it or open it.
Anyone have any ideas what setting should be set/changed on Graphic Converter??

Some ideas:
1) Reboot or relogin to see if that helps.
or
2) Make sure you are saving the image in the same format as before.
or
3) Go to the View options of the Finder and make sure that the checkbox for "Display preview" is selected. It says something like that.

Do 3) first and it is "Show icon preview" - this will show thumbnails for all images, Graphic Converter or not.
If you do not wish to see icons for all images other than those saved in Graphic Converter, in 5.9 the option is under the Save section of the Preferences and is called Custom Icon.

OK, I clicked "Show icon preview" and it works. But it only works if the image is sitting on the desktop. If I try and put it into a folder, the image is lost and goes back to a generic image or if I try and "convert" to png or something else, it shows simply as a black box.
When I open the black icon, it shows the image just fine, but it won't show the image in a folder.
Also, I do have "custom icon" checked. It doesn't seem to matter.

I was fooling around trying to figure out what to do when I found something. When you "convert" I clicked on Options, then "convert to JPEG" and also clicked on "progressive." I don't know what it means, but I do have my icon image back.
Thanks for your input!!

Make sure when you do the icon preview thing, the folder that you want that to happen to has to be the active folder for it to work. If you want all of the folders like that to occur including the Desktop, make sure you click on "apply to all windows" or something like that.
Glad to see you found a soln though.
