i just moved to a new mac, so i know it's not my machine, as it's happening on the newer mac:
i cannot upload pics to sites like craigslist in safari, it never works
(10.4.8, all apple software up-to-date).
i get this:
POSIX error: Invalid argument” (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:22)
anyone?

I am using a MacBook, fully updated, and Safari and was not able to reproduce the problem. This means that it probably isn't craigslist's fault. However, that particular page did not render completely properly for me.

Are there any characters in the file path that aren't letters/numbers/spaces?

Just so you know...it works fine for me. I realize that doesn't always help a lot, but it does seem to identify your machine as the problem.

odd though, as this is a new machine (yet doing what my previous powerbook did);
new osx, etc...!
anyone know what the error message is telling me??

Under the Safari menu, select Empty Cache...
I bet that fixes it for you.

Yup.
On Safari 2.x disabling the disk cache can cause problems.
The issue does not seem to affect Safari 1.3.x on Panther

dunno if this is related, but I've never been able to upload anything to myspace using safari either. Firefox always does the trick though.
