New to the mac world. I use Carbon Copy to make a backup of my system. I noticed the scheduling function. How does it work? if I close down Carbon Copy (quit is from menu), after I scheduled a task in it, will it automatically engage? I really dont know how scheduling works under a mac.

I have a Mac Pro 3.0 gigahertz running latest OSX.

Thanks!

When you schedule a backup with Carbon Copy Cloner it writes a system script to backup your computer. Your underlying computer system will execute the script at the scheduled times without CCC needing to be open. Therefore, you only need to schedule once, quit CCC, and your system will backup your computer on a regular basis automatically.

Thanks for that comment! Where can I verify the script was written and it ran?

Thanks!

I forget in which folder the scripts are kept. It might be /etc or /var. However, the scripts are named ccc with an extension after it. So if you search your drive for ccc, you should be able to find it.
