MSN has a "Approval" feature where you must approve people who are trying to add you. That doesn't seem to carry through to Adium. Or, at least I haven't found anyway to approve anyone. Can someone help me make this feature work? Or must I disable this feature to use Adium and still have people add me?
Thanks

The issue is, Adium does not tell me that someone is trying to add me and waiting for approval. I got an email from my friend saying "I just added you" and had to switch to MSN Messenger to approve them. Was hoping there was a similar thing I could turn on for Adium. Otherwise I guess I'd have to run MSN messenger every once in a while to see if anyone has added me.

I don't have this issue. Whenever someone adds me to their list, Adium alerts me immediately, or next time I login. I don't even have the official client these days.

Yeah, I don't have this issue either. Which version of Adium are you on? Latest is 1.0b15, snag it, it's delicious.

Adium always alerts me when someone adds me, and then I have to accept them or decline them.
Never had a problem with that feature.

I will test again I guess. I do not think I logged out that time.
Thanks everyone for your input
