I have some really GREAT pictures of some of my pets (particularly two who have passed away) on a miniDV tape. These are of course video frames, not stills. I've transferred the video to DVD using iDVD (much simpler than I expected) but I can't find a way to capture just the stills I want.

Any suggestions?

THANKS!

Load your DV footage into iMovie and just create a still frame of the exact image you want (Edit>Create Still Frame or Shift+Cmd+S). Then select only the Still Frame you just created and export the frame (File>Save Frame or Cmd+F). Save it to your pictures folder instead of movies maybe, or just dump it on desktop. Easy! Not the highest quality tho.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
