After adding a bunch of videos (several GBs worth) to my Movies folder so i could browse through front row, front row barely runs, if at all......this doesn't seem right to me.....any ideas?

Running 17" intel core duo, 1.5RAM

Thanks in advance

dude I know it's been like a year that your topic exists but I'll give it a shot:

it's slow because of the automatic preview on the left of the list. I had three 700 Mb movies in one folder and took whole MINUTES to unlock.

What I did is isolate every single movie in his own folder so that I can browse (folders) before actually selecting the movie.

Movies > First Movie > First Movie.mov
Movies > Second Movie > Second Movie.mov

when looking at the avaible folders, I'm not previewing anything, just watching the folder's name.

just make sure big movies aren't together !

Hope this helps !

FYI Front Row in Leopard totally fixes this.
