iTunes files gone???? HELP!

I tried to clean up my files, deleting stuff in my 'incomplete' folder, and when I restarted my PowerBook my entire iTunes library was nowhere to be found! I'm thinking I couldn't have deleted them since my HD space is still the same (and I had at least 10GB worth of songs). Could a virus have renamed the files and rendered them 'invisible'? If so, what can I do??

Thanks in advance.

BTW, I'm running iTunes 6.0.5. Could a new version of iTunes have been downloaded and then not incorporated the files?

powerbook 1.5ghz, g4, 1.25gb ram, superdrive, 100 hd
