Burning slide shows onto DVDs?

	I've never had a DVD burner before (will soon have the Intel Core 2 MacBook), so forgive me if this is a stupid question: Is it possible to burn a DVD with a slide show that can be played in a regular DVD player? Pictures from iPhoto? Also, as long as I'm asking, if I have a number of mpeg videos and a bunch of pictures, is it possible to put them on one disc and have them playable? Obviously they are different formats, so I'm not sure if that's possible, but thought I'd ask. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
