high fan noise when running Entourage on MacBook

I recently convinced my company to let me get a MacBook instead of the standard issue PC laptop, insisting that support would not be an issue. for the most part that's true but one thing in particular that i can't get past is when running Entourage the fan stays on all the time and is quite annoying. is anyone else having that problem and is there a fix? I have updated everything i can find that can be updated.
