hey guys, i was wondering what kind of program is out there that would be able to clean the OS? something like CCleaner for windows. I have installed some programs, and then uninstalled them, but noticed that they have left some files on my computer, and was wondering what the best program would be to get rid of them ? i got appzipper to uninstall further programs, but what about the ones that i have uninstalled already? And t doesnt have to be just for cleaning uninstalled programs, but to keep the Operating System clean from junk that doesnt need to be there.

thanks!

You could remove the languages that you don't use, using ex. DeLocalizer. I guess you could also remove a lot of the printer drivers installed, but I'm not sure how that is done after install of the system.

But removing the languages should give you 1-2 GB.

if u had garageband on your mac, and dont use it, you can remove the apple loops and audio files (look, i think, in app support in your library, and the main library)...save maybe 2gigs right there...

Just do a reinstall on OS X. When you do a reinstall, there is a button called "Customize" then tick off the applications you dont need. It freed me up to 15GB! Yeah. That's a lot of free space I got.

Library >> Printers >> select the ones you don't use, right click, "move to trash", empty trash....... All done!

Same for Users >> Your folder >> Library >> Printers (if anything is there)

Or just do the reinstall and use the customize tab to un-select them in the first place
