Hello to all!
Recently I bought an external hard disk and moved all my music to that.
Being happy about my new purchase I forgot to move all the xml etc files to it and moved only the mp3 files. As a result all the ratings are lost. But I do have all the ratings on my iPod which of course I don't want to sync now because iTunes will erase everything to synch with the "new" library.
What can I do to save the rating and the overwriting and of course the overwriting of the ipod. It's not that easy. Synching 20GB with USB 1 isn't fun!!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No worries.
Managed to solve it. Quite complicated but it works.
I created a smart playlist that contained the ratings and the playcount and transferd that back to itunes. I'm afraid I won't be able to save my iPod from being rewriten by iTunes but at least now I have everything back as they were!
