I currently use transmission for my bit torrent needs but there is not option on it to make torrent files.. I used to use Azureus for this task but found it to be slow- but it worked. Any suggestions?

Don't even use Azureus. Don't contaminate your computer with that incarnation of the devil himself.

That program has problems. It runs EXTREMELY slowly, and it's completely Voodoo. For instance, sometimes if you try to quit it, it'll just freeze up your computer instead, and sometimes it'll let you remove torrents and sometimes not. It feels like shooting in the dark when I use that program. I NEVER use it.

I don't know exactly how to answer your question cause I don't know much about making torrents, all I know is DON'T USE AZUREUS!

Strange. I've had no problems running Azureus on my (Intel) Mac.

I've actually grown to prefer it over Transmission.

I'll second that thought.

I agree. It's the best thing since sliced bread if you ask me. Camino and Azureus are two of my favorite and most used applications. Poster children for open source projects if you ask me.
Transmission is great if you don't know much about torrents and just want to download them.
Azureus on the other hand is a powerful too which can do so much more.
