Finder: list view not works when dragging!

	when i click on 'macintosh hd' icon either on my desktop or in left frame in finder, it opens in list view, because i want it that way. WHY THE HELL it opens as icon view when i drag anything there and wait for opening a new window?? like anything from right frame to 'macintosh hd' icon?!
