Hi,

I've been a Mac user since June and I love it but there are applications which I didn't like or need (Garage Band and iWeb (rather do my own coding or use Dreamweaver)).

Being an ex-Windoze user, I was used to great photo organizing applications (Picasa, IrfanView, etc.) and even though I've tried getting used to iPhoto, I hate it with a passion (don't want to start a war over this) and now use IView Media Pro and also playing around with Canon's ImageBrowser (which I'm also familiar with, having a Canon camera).

So, my question is, can I delete iPhoto and all associated files (like I did with Garage Band) without it affecting anything else?

Thanks,
Gemigene

yes you can delete the programs. I've deleted GB (dragged it to the trash bin) with no ill effects.

iPhoto and GarageBand may hide stuff in your hard drive, loops, or other media. Spotlight it to find the rest of the files.

Uninstalling apps on Macs is just like real life. If you have some leftover food (iPhoto), dump in trash and let the garbage man empty it.
