I have a file which I created on my Mac using MS Word and in that file, I have a picture which I copied and pasted from Preview into Word and I give that file to my fellow Window users who open it up using MS Word and see that they need some Quicktime LZW compression. Any ideas of how to get them to view the picture? Thanks.

If you don't need the other person to edit the file at all, you can always to a print to PDF. Otherwise, have you tried doing Insert > Picture > From File... within Word? That may bypass the Quicktime component which Preview undoubtedly uses.
