Hey, currently im trying to set up some things to make animated GIF's and such [general picture editing], and GIMP is one of my favorite apps. I have photshop CS but i despise it very much. So when I tried to install GIMP it said I needed X11, and when I attempted to install X11 it said i already had a newer version.

Should I just install it anyways? I have the newst OS X 10.4 with all of the updates.

What GIMP are you using? Make sure you're using Gimp.app. And there were some X11 updates for 10.4 released a bit ago, so make sure you have the newest version of that.
