I have successfully managed to get a photobook organized in iPhoto (I know, real tough eh...) but I was curious if anyone could recommend someplace to find materials to rint it myself. I ordered some from mypublisher.com but they look like they could easily be done by someone who has the right tools. I am trying to find those tools. Anyone familiar with this process? Forgive me if this is the wrong forum, i posted here since this question is a product of iPhoto. Thanks in advance.

I just went with iPhoto book printing. They really did a nice job of it.

I looked at them but trying to find something more reasonably priced because I am doing these in bulk and would like to make a little money doing it. :-) Thanks for the suggestion though.

In that case you won't b able to use iPhoto. Just design the book in the dtp software of your choice, then write a pdf and get that printed.
There are companies out there, pabd, lulu, cafepress, that can help you get this right.

The iPhoto book service is really great. It's money well-spent, the last one I did literally put tears in my grandmother's eyes.

I just ordered one this past week. I got it partly because of the great things I have heard here. If you want to make money, I think you need to consider one of the alternate sites posted above and don't bother doing it yourself (not yet anyway).

I got my book and couldn't be happier with it. Everyone I have showed it to was impressed.
If you are on the fence about trying one out you can add me to the list of people that recommend them.

It shouldn't surprise me knowing apple, but I was also glad that the book supported printing in other languages.

Yes, the iPhoto books are great, but I think the OP was interested in mass producing the books without spending $20-30 each so that s/he could sell them for a reasonable price. I'm afraid I can't be of much help, but I was going to say that keep in mind you can print the book yourself from iPhoto or do a Print to PDF. You could always take the PDF to a printshop and have them print out the book in high volumes. Then for binding, I think you can get spiral binding machines fairly cheap at office supply stores. If you wanted cloth-bound books, that would probably be much trickier, more expensive equipment, and more time consuming.
