I have a 2 column document that looks and prints fine with Office 2004, on an iBook running 10.4.8, and the same document with OS 10.3.9 and Office X gets all funky. Words are wrapped to the next line without any regard for where the break occurs, sometimes it is the last "y" that gets on the next line, etc., but it is never the correct place or even hyphenated. Both machines have the same fonts, standard OS install and others that come with Word, only. No other user installed fonts. Any ideas for a fix appreciated.

Does it PRINT oddly too? It may simply be the way Office X's version of Word is displaying the document. That IS odd behavior, though. On the ibook running Office 2004, do a "compatibility check" in Word. I'll bet that, if there is more than a display problem, it's that the file was saved in the wrong compatibility mode.
