Port Forwarding with Transmission

How do I go about doing it? I am familiar with portforward.com but they do not have Transmission listed in their Apps list. Can anyone lend a hand? Plz + Thx.

Haha okay I promise.

Thanks for the link, I did all of that. I used the original port T. uses, which is 9090, and forwarded that one with my router, will it still work the same? Are there better ports to use?

Download the Transmission version: http://chucker.mystfans.com/opensour...ion-latest.dmg

First, make sure you have a Static IP set up.
With the latest T build, it will automatically set up your Port Forward environment. Look under the Network tab, in T. T uses only one (1) open port. You cannot change the port. Works like a charm.

What does it use to set up the port mappings?

UPnP and NAT-PMP both usually need to be turned on in the router before they'll work.
