Anybody ever have the following issue when you pre-order an album from the iTunes Store: it lets you download the single immediately. A week later when the rest of the album is available, the single refuses to adopt its correct place in the album's sequence, it always is listed last.

If the single is track 9, it still sits after track 13, the last track on the album.

Are you able to fix this manually? If you "get info" on a song you can manually set the track number.

Yeah. I've set the track # and made sure that all of the other ID3 tags are consistent (sometimes the iTunes store labels that first single differently from the rest of the album). Anyway, even after all the tags are set and the track # is right, the song still doesn't move into sequence.

How is iTunes sorted? If you have it sorted by date added or something it won't change, but if you sort by track number it should work.

Interestingly, sorting by track # works but sorting by Artist or Album does not work. This is an issue for my iPod because it is there that track 9 always plays after the last track (track 13). Everything else is in sequence except for the pre-ordered song.

Oh well...
