Hey all,

When I burn a photo CD with iPhoto, it works fine. When I open the CD (after I burn it), all of the pictures are sorted by the years, then months, then days.

Is there a way I can disable that feature that iPhoto has? I find it very inconvenient. I want to be able to burn the pictures onto a CD and then when I open the burned CD, have a single folder with all of the photos (from different dates) residing in that single folder.

When I searched, I found this:

Sort've the same thing, but is there a way just to turn off the dates completely?

Thanks for your feedback!

Josh

From what I have discovered the burn option in iphoto is intended for backup (and so it keeps everything organized like on the mac) and not for photo viewing or easy retrieval. As much as I may want it to behave differently I have always just circumvented the behavior and dragged the photos I want to burn to a new folder on the desktop and then I burn the folder with toast.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have Toast, so am I just out of luck on this one?

In the Finder do File->New Burn Folder. Drag the photos from iPhoto into the burn folder and click burn.
