I have lost the ability to render or even see Text in my Photoshop 7.0.1 (Sawtooth G4- OS X4.8 current).

The Dead Text Tool began acting this way shortly affter I installed HP ScanPro with a " new" HP 4890 flatbed scanner. Is that a coincidence, or is there something else killling my Text Tool ? That's all I can think of.

( By the way , I'm having other issues with HP ScanPro, like not doing half the stuff it's supposed to , and lots of Unexoected Quits ....but I'll take thhat up at a later date )

Sounds like a software conflict to me, possibly with the scanjet drivers. Maybe you should send a detailed note to Adobe (and HP, as well) about the problem, so they can correct it.
