I posted about my hard drive failing, so now I am trying to get my iTunes library back up.

I managed to save my entire iTunes folder with all the artwork, Library files, etc. Since I have to manually add all of my backed up files into iTunes (thus, losing all of my playcounts, playlists, etc) I am wondering if I can restore my playlists from these files. I also may have some other preferences and such backed up just in case they're there.

Any help would be appreciated as I've been creating playlists since iTunes 1. Thanks!

If you would have simply copied your entire iTunes folder you would still have your playlists. The playlists are stored in the library files. If you copy that or import the XML version you should get your playlists back.

I tried that and for some reason it said the iTunes Library file is damaged. It's still in the iTunes folder, but it says "(Damaged)" next to it.

You still have the option to import the XML-version of the library. Proceed like this:
