Why doesnt my quicktime player work on any website. even when there are just pictures that are suppose to be displayed they are blank. there is just the quicktime logo with a question mark in the middle of it. does anyone have any advice for me. i thought maybe it was because i didnt update it, but it still does it even though it is now all up-to-date. somebody help me please lol...

This might be a problem with the website you are trying to view. Check the site on another computer. A ? often means that the picture/video cannot be found.

Pictures are not handled by the QuickTime plug-in. Are you sure this is not Flash that is not working? Make sure Flash handling by the QuickTime plug-in is turned off in System Preferences->QuickTime->Advanced->Mime Settings->Miscellaneous File Formats (or simply press the "Use Defaults" button).

What browser are you using? I had a similar problem with Firefox. It was supposed to use a particular extension to handle Flash videos, but it was not using it. I ended up wiping out its profile and re-doing it (after backing up the important files in it, such as bookmarks, cookie settings, etc.).
