I am wondering if there is anyway I can link up Mac Mail with my school e-mail account so I can just have it on my dock and all!

I have no idea how to set it up cause it's askin for things that seem to be over my head. So I will supply all the information I can, and I am just looking for someone to help me through it!

Our school uses:

Powered by IceWarp Software Merak Email Server
IceWarp Web Mail 5.6.7 (Registered)

Merak Email Server by IceWarp
Merak Email Server by IceWarp

Is this possible to do? Any input would be greatly appriciated!

I think you just need to setup a POP account in Mail. You will need to know a few bits of information:

1. Your email address
2. Your user name (typically the part in front of the @ symbol)
3. Your password
4. The server that you get your mail from (usually "mail.yourdomain" where "yourdomain" is the part after the @ symbol)
5. The server that you will use to send mail (usually "smtp.yourdomain")

If you open the preferences in Mail (command-, ) and go to the Accounts area, you will see where to put the information. You may need to play with some of the settings to get it to work. You will also need to check with someone that is an administrator of the mail system to make sure that POP access is allowed.

Hope this gets you started!

Your school should have all the info you need. This is a fairly standard procedure and they should be able to provide you with step-by-step instructions.

Unfortunately, no one on this message board has any inside info about your school's e-mail setup.
