I have a macbook white running 10.4.8. Have compiled both wireshark via darwinports and ethreal via fink.

Ethereal is running. But I cant seem to see any other packets other than broadcast packets or packets directed at me. I am running ethereal using sudo in a x11 terminal.

I had a older version of ethereal running on my ibook running 10.4.6. That works perfectly.

Any advice from gurus here?

I am running parallels also. Dunno if that interferes with ethereal. I notice that en2/en3 (parallel interfaces) are running in promisc mode.
