Hi I just got my first mac a few months ago in september and as you can see in my sig it is a macbook. I am really enjoying using a mac and it is hard to use windows after having this computer. My only thing is; What are some cool apps to make things easier on a mac. I mainly listen to music, do light photo edditing, lots of video edditing, and always surf the net. Is there any really good must have apps out there that are free and good for the mac? Oh and while i am at it does anyone know if acquisition is still free?
EDITon't know if i posted this in the wrong section. Sorry if it belongs in applications.

I recommend transmit for FTP; also Toast is a must-have! it comes with a nifty app called déjà Vu, which allows you to backup files, very good!
I also use fruit menu to organize my stuff under the apple menu.
for some tasks I recommend path finder, which allows you to tweek your files.
Also a must-have is cocktail for system maintenance, if needed.

Do a google on those names and you're good to start.

You could also try Shiira....a browser the developers aim in making better than Safari, and it does have some features which are sorely missed in Safari.
