Hi all ..

Not sure what the heck I did.

I was visiting a website, and it said in order to view a video I need to install Adobe Flash Player, so I did.

However, now, I've seemed to have lost the ability to play anything, things that used to open with Quicktime show this:





Any ideas how to fix this? I've got no clue as to what the heck I've done.

Have you tried reinstalling Flash? I would try reinstalling flash, then reinstalling Quicktime. If that doesn't work, try using another user account on the computer to see if we can narrow the problem down.

is that page a flash (swf) file?
if so, you need to re-install flash player, becasue quicktime is trying to show the swf content that isn't supported by its version.

Thanks all .. I uninstalled both apps completely, repaired permissions, installed both apps again and now everything seems to be fine. Not exactly sure what caused the problem in the first place, but everything is working now.
