I have a Mac G5. Great hardware for playing video games (ATI x1600 mobile, Intel 1.8 core duo processing, 512 MB RAM, etc.).

I have Windows XP but it's already been used too many times. I installed Windows on my Mac via Bootcamp so I was able to use it for a month. After the month was up, I took back the partitioned drive used for Windows and put it back to my main hardrive. I want to install Windows XP for another month, but will that decrease the life-span of my Mac like it does to a PC, even though the drive is partitioned?

Thanks for your time,

Criscokilika

(P.S., I know I should just buy Windows XP, it's just one of those things I never get around to)

Installing and uninstalling the OS (Windows or OS X) or repartioning numerous times is unlikely to have much effect on the lifespan of your Mac. Unless you plan on doing it 2 or 3 times a day, every day. Every month should be fine.

Don't cross post. And msuper69 is right-there's no reason for multiple installs to be bad for a computer, whether it's a Mac or a PC.
