One of the highlights of Steve Jobs' Macworld keynote speech was that the iPhone would come with free push Yahoo! IMAP e-mail. Later, Steve Jobs listed Yahoo! Mail as one of the IMAP e-mail services.
I have been using Yahoo! Mail as my primary e-mail for years--AT&T Yahoo! is my ISP--and I never knew IMAP was an option. I've always gotten my Yahoo! Mail via POP or the Yahoo! Mail Web site. Of course IMAP is better than POP, so I want to switch to IMAP.
Searching Yahoo! Mail Help finds nothing about IMAP mail. I did find this on a third party Web site, but it doesn't work; it just asks me for my username and password over and over again.
So, is it possible to get Yahoo! Mail via IMAP on computers, and if it is, how, or is IMAP Yahoo! Mail going to be exclusive to the iPhone?

No, he said Yahoo! Mail will provided IMAP push services to iPhone customers. So it sounds like it's currently iPhone-only.

You always could use IMAP with Yahoo, just now they charge for it when they did the 'compete with GMail' thing.

Well, it sounds like it's probably not publicly released yet. I imagine it'll become clear in June.

Uh, I am paying for Yahoo! Mail, and I see no way to get it via IMAP.

You sentence doesn't make sense.
Are you trying to say that they made IMAP a paid option to compete with GMail ?
How would that be any good ?
