I'm in need of a new Office. I was going to get Office 2004, but now MS has announced
Office 2008 for release later this year. What I've read indicates that it is a really different, possibly better, but with a steep learning curve. i really don't need that.
Any thoughts about which way i should jump?
Thanks.

go for neoOffice (neooffice.org), it's free and will give you time to think until Office 2008 comes up.

If you rely on VB script in Excel on the PC, stay away from Office 2008.

Agree - what do you actually use it for? Neo Office might well meet all your needs for free.

Who says you need to upgrade to 2008? Just use a version of Office that you feel comfortable with. I use an older version and couldn't be happier.
