Buddy of mine wants to know if the automation track can be resized or minimized
vertically in Garageband to maximize screen real estate (he's on a macbook lappy,
I'm on a G5 tower with a big flat panel).

Any ideas?

You can click the triangle (next to the track mute and solo buttons) to hide/show the automation track. It can't be resized though.
