I've been trying to add some video files to iTunes so that I can put them onto my iPod. The files were orginally .avi, but I converted them to mp4 files using iSquint. I then attempted to add them to iTunes but nothing happened. I tried both dragging and dropping and selecting file > add/ file > import.

I recieved no error message, the file just simply didn't get added to the library. I read up on a program called lostify, which tags mp4 files so that they automatically show up in iTunes. So I downloaded this and tried it, but I got no luck.

I honestly can't see a reason for this to be happening, but if anyone can help, I'd be most greateful.

I'm running iTunes 7.0.2 on an intel based macbook.

Why? As I've said, the files aren't being added. So they're not being put into an iTunes movie folder.
