I keep reading that ffmpegx is more powerful than Visual Hub.

With Visual Hub, I can convert multiple .avi episodes into .vob's, and then it automatically combines them all into a .iso file for a DVD for me.

Since ffmpegx is free, I've been trying to figure out how to do that with it.

I cannot find this on ffmpegx though. I don't see an option to convert to .vob's or .iso's for DVD. There is an option to convert to DVD, but it spits out a .dvd folder with the Audio_TS and Video_TS file in there but the DVD player on Mac won't play them. Can someone help?

Thanks.

You'd be better off here:
VideoHelp.com :: View Forum - ffmpegX general discussion
or here:

Authoring DVDs is a tedious, frustrating and increasingly useless endevour, and I don't know any reason why you'd want to do it. Get a TV card and be done with it. I don't speak for anyone in particular, but those are reason enough why interest in problems like this one is lacking here, but for some reason they still pound away at over at videohelp, so more power to them...
