We bought a Xerox laser multifunction printer PE120 last year, I am trying to move the whole office to Mac, but just found out this particular model is not compatible with Mac.

We need a reliable laser MFP, and I would like to spend no more than $500-$1000, and with a long lasting toner cartrige. I see Xerox has a PE220 which is compatible with OSX but, would all the functions be availble to Mac users - like the scan software?

Any (other) recommendations much appreciated as well.

I've had good luck with Brother. I used it on a windows machine before hand and it actually became easier to setup functions on the mac (plus it required no drivers to install it, just plugged it in via USB).

They make a color MFC for about $700 you could check out. Toner cartridge is for 10,000 pages.
