Hey, I need to edit 2 films, for a media presentation for my coursework, and i seem to be having trouble playing the file format type.

I need to know, what players play this format.
how and what can i use to edit the film (as i need clips of the films) (will check youtube)
and if you dont know anyof them, how can i convert the file format.

VOB files are almost always mpeg-2 format and QT as downloaded will not play them. For mpeg-2 you need to buy the mpeg2playbackcomponent from the Apple store. Even with it installed you will not be able to edit and then save in that format, nor include the sound in the exported file. For that you should be able to use this freeware that also needs the playback component installed to be able to play mpeg2. With it you should be able to save the files in DV Stream and then edit them in iMovie or iDVD.
