Hi all. I poseted the same question on the macworld.com board, but thought I would also give it a whirl here. Thanks so much for your help.

Here's my task: I need to edit different sections from about 8 different DVD's into one single DVD (I am a teacher trying to put a Jackie Robinson/Negro Leagues presentation together for our Black History Day in February). Which software should I use to take bits and pieces from these DVD's and splice them together? I am guessing cannot use iMovie because the movies are actual DVD's--not DV files.

And yes, I have permission to edit the videos for educational purposes.

Thanks very much.

Rip the DVDs using Mac the Ripper, then edit in iMovie.

Cinematize. Thanks.

I didn't think MTR + iMovie would work. I thought iMovie only works with DV files, not VOB files. Am I wrong?
