I know I can reset it, but I want to know if I can edit it.

Recently, I corrected a bunch of folder names in iTunes (I import music manually) and iTunes could not find a lot of my music. I had to find each track for it, one by one, and in the end I just deleted it all from iTunes and re-imported it. No problem, but the re-imported stuff of course had a 0 playcount. They were my favourite albums, with playcounts in the hundreds. It's useful to be have a most played Smart Playlist with your favourte tracks, and to be able to list all your music in ascending and descending order of plays. But now, my most-played are ostensibly my least played.

So annoying.

We all know you just want to hide how many times you've listened to "London Bridge."

I believe this is what you are looking for:
http://www.dougscripts.com/itunes/sc...tractplaycount

It is an AppleScript that lets you set play counts for songs individually.
