So anyone have thoughts on which one to use this year or maybe just stick with the online version? I've used both in the past and can't say I've really had a preference -- although turbotax has always seemed a bit more refined. I'm glad to see taxcut is back in the market and am thinking about going that route.

I used to use TaxCut but switched to TurboTax after H&R Block dropped Mac support. While it's great that H&R Block saw the error of their ways, I had to manually enter a lot of data to switch to Turbotax and I'm sure as heck not going to do it again. And yes, TurboTax is more refined. It's hard to say this as a less than enthusiastic Intuit customer, but I would use TurboTax or an online service before TaxCut.

I use TurboTax, no particular reason over TaxCut. Since I started using it years ago I stick with them because they can import my prior years data. Both seem to be more then capable so I don't believe you could go wrong.
