Recovering Photobooth Files?

I think there's a way to recover the pictures you "x'd" out of. But I cant figure it out, can somone refresh my memory. I might be wrong....

I just tried it, it seems once you delete a photo the file is gone for good...will be interesting to see if someone has found a way!
