Perhaps a mod that has a little bar that floats where you are in a day, and changes in somewhat real time.

It sucks having to figure out where i am during a day, because, yes, I'm that out of it.

You might like iCalViewer. It does a slight variation on what you describe, drawing a constant "Now" line, with your events flowing over the line as time progresses. It's pretty neat, though I no longer use it day-to-day.
