I tried a quick search but didn't find what I was looking for.

Can anyone recommend a good application to use for tracking/organizing books (as part of a personal library)?

Yeah, or if you don't want to pay $40 you could try the free Books.

You could also try LibraryThing | Catalog your books online. It has some pretty neat features.
