Does anyone know a good way to make a backup copy of Yahoo emails?
I just want to have a copy that I could keep on the disc.
I'd like to do the same for my gmail account as well.
Thank you for your suggestions

Set up Mail to be your client for both? Gmail provides instructions on how to do this, and I assume Yahoo Mail would be similar.

Thank you for your reply.
What if I don't want to download my Internet mail to Mail?
Is there a way to just make a copy of it on a disc?
Thx.

Not particularly, no. If you want a backup, you have to first use a local mail client. Then you can backup the mailbox files it produces. Alternatively, you could manually save the text from each email, but that may not even achieve what you want.

If the reason you don't want to use Mail.app is because you are worried about mixing your GMail/Yahoo Mail with your usual e-mail in Mail.app, then you could get Thunderbird (free) and use that for your GMail/Yahoo accounts.

Yes, that's exactly why I didin't want to use Mail.app. Also, I just want a copy in case Internet emails disappear one day.
I will download Thunderbird. Will it then be able to download all of my emails for the last couple of years?
Thanks!!!

GMail can be set up to download all mails I think, but I have no idea about Yahoo Mail.
