Mactheripper rips the entire DVD (and I mean everything, including special features and DVD menus and stuff) into a VIDEO_TS folder. You play it using DVD Player, and it acts like it's a real DVD. However, it takes up a lot of space (like at least 5GB).
You can also use HandBrake or MediaFork to rip the movie by itself to an .mp4 file. You can play it on most things (from iPods to any computer OS out there), not to mention it takes up much less space (on average settings, it'll take up 700MB of space).
